Some Guidelines for taking pictures

I would like to share with you some guidelines I found out about taking better pictures of anything be it kids, animals, nature, etc.. My dad told me these and I was watching a TV show one morning and they had a professional photographer on and he said to do these things as well. These guidelines are:
  • Try and have the subject off centered.
  • Focus on the eyes when taking pictures of kids and animals.
  • Try to take pictures in the early morning or late in the afternoon. This is because early morning pictures have the best light and late in the afternoon the sun isn't so bright. I have learned to avoid taking pictures in the middle of the afternoon if I can.

I think that is all of the guidelines or suggestions that I can remember. If this helps anyone that's great because I am just learning all of this.
